Yamaha Music Education Overview
All Yamaha courses follow three fundamental principles: timely education, group learning at the beginning levels, and encouraging creativity. It is Yamaha's goal to enrich lives across the world by giving children the language of music to enjoy for a lifetime.
Once upon a time, there was a special class that taught very young children about music so they could enjoy it their whole lives. The children went to class with their parents, made new friends, and had lots of fun.
Junior Music Course
Ages 4 - 5
Young children have an innate friendliness. Their desire to be with others and their natural inclination to imitate come together to create an ideal atmosphere for acquiring music skills. Interaction with parents, teachers, and peers helps children succeed and gain confidence as they pass from one learning stage into another.
Young Musicians Course
Ages 6 - 9
The Young Musicians Course is founded on the belief that every student loves music. During the three-year program, students participate in activities that teach basic musical skills and encourage independence, creativity, and self-expression. The course appeals to the imagination of a young mind and becomes an integral part of your child's growth.
Once your child completes his/her beginning course, he/she will take Yamaha surveys and exams and will receive certificates and awards. Students enter the Worldwide Yamaha Grade Examination System once they begin Advanced Courses.
