Fall Break Camps at EVYMS

It's official -- Fall is here! We hope you're enjoying the pumpkins and cooler weather (it's coming... right?). Fall Break is October 9 - 15, there will be no regular classes at that time. Instead, join us for our Fall Camps! We are hosting two Fall Camps, including Drum Camp with MB Gordy and Music Theatre Camp! Here's everything you need to know to get signed up.

M.B. Gordy is an extraordinary teacher, clinician, and performer who has worked with the top Yamaha students around the U.S. for the past 25 years. He has been the featured percussionist with the Doobie Brothers and has worked with artists such as Frank Zappa, Three Dog Night, Green Day, John Tesh, Juan Gabriel, Yoko Ono, Neil Diamond and Dolly Parton. He has played on numerous film scores including: The Minions Movie, Lion King, Transformers, Spiderman, Titan AE and The Crow. Television credits include: Battlestar Gallactica, King of the Hill, The Tonight Show & Good Morning America.

Our other guests include JB Smith and David Demson. JB Smith is a Professor of Music and Coordinator of Percussion Students at ASU. The talented David Demson will join the camp on bass guitar.

Don’t miss this amazing opportunity! Activities covered will be drum set, rhythm, development,

improvisation, keyboard, Latin and African drums, Mexican and North American Indian studies, and electric bass.

Here's a breakdown of the dates/times and the cost of our 2017 Fall Drum Camp:

October 10, 11, 12 (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

9:00am - 3:00pm Drum Camp Age 6 - 14, $300/student

3:15pm - 4:00pm Drum Camp Age 3 - 5, $90/student

The YPAC presents Roald Dahl’s beloved classic THE BFG! Get ready for greedy giants, silly tea parties with the Queen, a spunky young orphan, and of course our friendly hero- the BFG himself! The week will be spent in casting and rehearsals, with a full-length production at the end of the week.

9:00am - 4:00pm, $275/student
